Field of Heroes
A&E is proud to be able to help with the Field of Heroes again this year. Damon and Jessica spent the day at Century laying out the grid for the crosses to be laid out. We also provide a drawing of the layout to be used during the week and on Memorial Day Weekend. our In-Kind surveying for the Field of Hereos is the least we can do in remembrance of our fallen heroes.
Leadership Pocatello-Chubbuck has recently incorporated of a new youth leadership program called LEAP. The LEAP program will focus on leadership development for the sophomore and junior level youth. Krystal Chanda is serving as a mentor with many others for the first LEAP class.
Krystal Chanda was recently elected as a Pocatello Chief to serve along side Dale Reavis. She was be given her chief name “Chief STEM” at the Annual Chief Pow Wow last August.

A&E is very proud of Zack Smith. Zack has been a drafter for us for a few years and is graduating this May with his Civil Engineering degree. We are excited to have him as an engineer at A&E now. Zack was also recognized by Idaho State University as the Career Path Intern of the month. The Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering recently recognized Krystal Chanda as the Distinguished Communicator of the Year. The award goes to an individual with outstanding achievements in communicating the meaning and values of science and/or engineering to students and/or the general public. Krystal’s involvement in MATHCOUNTS, the ISU Center for New Directions Super STEM Girl Day, ISU Bengal STEM Day and speaking to various classes about engineering earned her this award.Justified Image Grid error: there are no images to show, the items are empty.
Bengal STEM Day
A&E Engineering teamed up with Monsanto at Bengal STEM Day during National Engineer’s Week at Idaho State University. Reaching approximately 120 students who rotated through their Dam Engineering Presentation. The students got to learn about different types of dams, dam construction, environmental concerns and regulations. A&E are proud contributors to the Simplot Games. After attending the ribbon cutting to start the games Thursday night, A&E started Friday morning off with Breakfast with Fosbury and Friends. Hearing from Butch Reynolds was very inspiring. During the parade of athletes Saturday morning A&E was lined up directly in front of the Olympians. Krystal Chanda just finished her first year of Leadership and has been as a facilitator for her diplomat year. We are so happy to have her be part of such a great program that plays such a huge part in our local community.

A&E’s very own Dale Reavis, a Pocatello Chief, was able to support the kick off off Kind Community Week. The ribbon cutting was held on Monday September 20th.
CW HOG 35th Annual Pig Out
A&E is a proud supporter of the CW HOG Pig Out. This years Pig Out is Saturday September 17th at the Lower Ross Park Pavilion. Proceeds benefit ISU’s CW HOG program by providing staffing, training for staff & volunteers, equipment, and financial aid to participants who would other wise not be able to get the experiences that CW HOG has to offer. The confidence, self-esteem, and lifelong memories that come along with challenging oneself with outdoor adventures are immeasurable and CW HOG is committed to assisting with these challenges. The student who took first place at the Southeast Idaho MATHCOUNTS Competition also took first place at the State Competition and will be heading to the National Competition!

Simplot Gun & Rod Club
A&E was proud to support the Simplot Gun & Rod Club’s 5th annual Fishing Derby held May 14th. Our team members has a great day on the water with great results!
The 38th annual Simplot Games was held February 18-20, 2016 at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena. A&E enjoyed attending the Breakfast with Fosbury and Friends on Friday morning.
